Catherine qualified as a solicitor after joining a large national law firm straight from university. She enjoyed a 26-year+ career, where she was appointed to equity partner, and regional managing partner of the Wales and Southwest region – with full operational responsibility. She is known for her warmth, collaborative style, integrity and positive energy.
Catherine’s legal career included personal injury, employment law and trade union legal services, with a standout moment being a successful test case at the Supreme Court. She built a strong reputation for operational leadership, governance, multimillion pound budget management and business transformation across multi-site regions and teams. As an equity partner and supervisory board member, she played a key role in shaping national strategy, driving cultural change and delivering major organisational restructures.
After many years in senior leadership, Catherine has chosen to step away from her partnership role to focus on the work she finds most meaningful — supporting organisations and their people. She now provides consultancy, coaching and mentoring – drawing on her legal background and extensive experience in business leadership, strategy and organisational change.
Outside of work, Catherine enjoys gym sessions, yoga, swimming and long walks with her labradors. She enjoys running and fund raising for charity events. A proud mum to two busy teenagers, she balances professional focus with an active family life. Catherine volunteers weekly with Age Connect Cardiff, supporting elderly residents in her community. She holds a DBS certificate.
